Tomtom 2 and CF card GPS

I have a Ipaq 2210 and a Hiacom CF GPS . when I set this up in TomTom there is no problem. I set it up Tick the box and Off I go.
But when I remove the card the box gets unticked and the setup gets reset to Com3. which would be fine if when i put it into my cradle it didnt clash with my USB modem and stop me using the modem and my printer! untill i reboot my PC!!

I have had tomtom for a couple of weekks and I'm sure it wasn't doing this last week!
anyone know whats going on?

You need to make sure you exit TomTom before you take the card out.

Then only start TomTom after you have put the card back in.

If this doesn't work properly then resetting the IPAQ in between these two stages should make it work.
