Recently i've been having troubles with my tt500, it has the latest software installed. If I leave my tomtom fully charged after about 3 days it is flat as a pancake and will refuse to start up again. Today it took 10 minutes charging and a couple of attempted resets before it finally came to life. Help! is this boot up problem to do with the battery i.e if tomtom is completly discharged will it take a while before it will reboot even with the cahrger plugged in ?. Why is the tomtom going flat with no use after a few days?

I've found that my 700 takes a couple of minutes charging before I can wake it from a deep discharge.

I have had some unplanned discharges that seem to happen when the GO is in the bag. They seem linked to the times I've used the car charger and the GO has "powered off" with the ignition. Can't prove it's that - I could be squeezing the on button as I put it in the bag.

I've done that a few times tried placing my go in to the bag caarefully without switching it on and then now used it for a while, I was starting to think that mine was duff but then I needed to use it soon after I had placed it away and realised that it had been switched on accidently, the only good thing about it was it had the sats all ready tracked and was ready to go.
You may find though that the Tom tom might say it is charged after a short time and even register a full charge but I would ensure you have given it a good couple of hours on a mains charger to ensure it id fully charged.
If it still seems to die after that contact Support at TT
