I've tried installing checkpoint on my ipaq 2210 but i get a warning message that some files are already in use and to shut down the program using them.
But I have tried shutting down everything and it still insists these files are in use!
How this could be is a mystery as they are located in the checkpoint folder and that is just trying to install!!

Also I read somewhere that GPSassist is not really intended for windows pc3003 and has some problems. is this true? has anyone here got it working ?
it sounds like a great program.

thanks

Mike, perform a soft reset (stylus in pin hole at back of the 2210) and watch the HP screen appear and it will restart, then try installing again and you should be okay. I suspect that although you think you have exited, some apps may still be running in the background (this happens with Pocket PC's). Some DLL's will be installed to the Windows directory and this is probably where you are seeing the problem.

GPS Assist hasn't been written for Pocket PC 2003 (I think you're 1000 years ahead of yourself). But, some do get it working, most don't.

Have you tried installing CheckPOInt 2.0.2 from our downloads page ? It's an older version but very stable.

thanks Dave but I've tried both now and for some reason it just wont run.
I assume something is sposed to happen when i run it? cos nothing seems to!

worse thing is that i now have four checkpoint icons in my programs folder!!
any ideas how i can get rid of them?
when i remove the program they just stay there

Ah right, actually if it's the first time you have run it, it won't. What will happen on the first time is on your Today screen you'll see a new icon at the bottom right of the Today screen. If you tap this, you can then go in and configure it, and set things like running TomTom automatically when you start CheckPOInt etc. Once you've configured the options, if you exit CheckPOInt again by tapping it, then it should disappear from the Today screen. Then run CheckPOInt again and it should invoke TomTom Navigator 2.

Ok Forget the last question.
I found out that i could go into the windows programs folder and just delete the shortcuts.
Simple really if you realise it's just another windows OS.

thanks
