Direction problem

I've got a Quest ,running CNv8 ,and half the time when it is navigating, it is either telling me to go around round-a-bouts the wrong way, or trying to send up the off ramp of a motorway. For example, I am coming up to a roundabout with 4 exits(inc the one I am coming in from) I want to take the third exit, but the Quest will direct the wrong way round and tell me to take the first exit.
Anybody else come across this problem? It's almost as if it keeps on forgetting it's in the U.K!
