Difference Between Maps 605 and 632

Hi all,
I have the GB map ver 562 on my PDA runing app 5.21

I want to upgrade and have been told that 632 is the latest uk maps verion. Is this true and what is the difference between this and ver 605?

My 562 verion fits on a 128mb card but have been told that the 632 is around 200mb in size so what are you getting extra with the additional 80mb?

Welcome to the world of TomTom map numbering.

So far I have seen three versions starting with 6, the two you mention and another v609.

I think (but don't know categorically) that they are all compliled from the same data source, so should have the same roads/errors etc.

The v609 maps are from the Western Europe cd set, with the same version number applying to every map in that set.

As to the diferrence in size between the two you mention, this is because one of them is for Great Britain only, while the other is a PLUS map which also includes the major roads of Europe.

So what you are really saying there is no real reason to upgrade from Ver 562 as the maps will be the same in 632?

the 605 map is a uk only map and the 632 map hs uk and major roads of europe. they were released at the same time.

but it maybe worth waiting for an up grade for tomtom v6 to come out. which accoring to speculation is due sometimes in not to distant future
