There's City Navigator V8 which is useable on Q1, which is essentially an upgrade from City Select V7, and then there's City Navigator V8 NT which can only be used on the Q2??
Would that be right? |

I would say that was right with the small change to aviod any confusion....
and then there's City Navigator V8 NT which can be used on the Q2 but not on the Q1?? as I believe some other garmin units use NT

Presumably they have to use the NT version to fit the whole of Europe into the Q2's limited memory. If they provided you with NT on disk (so you have a backup) then maybe you could get a copy of plain CN8 and use that albeit not the whole of Europe at one time. Not sure if Garmin would provide a free copy if you bugged them about the problems of using CN8 NT.
I have an i3 which has the NT version of the UK, seems to work OK but I think it was designed with NT in mind where it sounds like the Quest wasn't. _________________ Chas

Yeah Bumkin,
Mine is the NT version. I'll get onto them for a normal version of v8. |

The NT version can also be used on the GPSMAP 60Cx as an example. ;) _________________ Robert Elsinga =8- )
