Optimising a route on TomTom One

Hi, does anyone know whether it is possible to optimise a route on the TomTom One device.

I need to visit a large number of sites (thousands) that I can create either POIs or itineries for.......however, these is my first use of TT One and I am struggling, I can make a POI file (managed one with 2000 points but only approx. 100 are shown to choose from) and the itinery seems to be limited to 50........BUT the itinery seems to just route round the order you create it in and selecting a route from 100 POIs could take ages, and stll not be optimal (or anywhere near).

If the TT One cannot do it, does anyone know of a device/s/w that could?

Any advice would be appreciated (the sites visited will improve SatNav data in future :-)
