VR 6.14 locks on TT300 Splash Screen

I installed v6.14 on my 300 using TT Home and it locks on the splash screen.

Any suggestions please.

rename the "ttn" file to something else.

have searched the new v6.14 files and the previous v5.420 files and cannot find one names "ttn"

How long did you wait before you decided that the splash screen had "hung"?

My GO700 stayed on the splash screen for 3 minutes after loading 6.14. Then it worked normally.

You model may have a slower processor than the 700, so it may take longer to get going.

After a number of messages from TomTom support who were very quick in responding to questions about the v6.14 lockup problem I have been told to restore the TTG300 to v5.44 and not to try the install to v6.14 until further notice.

Do they know something?

Hi, any more news? My ttg300 has locked on the splash screen and this is version 6.15

My 300 won't switch off, & is not recognised by my PC after the download.
Each time I connect to the PC TT home keeps telling me to connect my TT.
I think I'm correct in saying that I shouldn't remove the SD card whilst the unit is switched on.
Seems each time TT launch an update they mess up big time.
Maybe they use Microsoft rejects to write the software.

Used the reset & the unit turned itself off.
I put the SD card in the reader & TT home recognised it, it checked for updates & installed the update I had installed with the TT connected to the PC.
Put the SD card into TT & it doesn't work just locks up.
Have seen loads of other threads all moaning at TT cockup.
One poor soul even said that the download etc had corrupted the BIOS on his PC.

Don't ask me why or how but all of a sudden it works.
It seems to have messed up the Gatso warning so they will have to be reassigned, but apart from that all seems OK.
All I did was to reset it several times & take the SD card out a few times & hey presto it works.

TT support have replied and they want my unit in for repair. It should be free of course cos the unit was ok until I downloaded the update.keep u informed unless someone has theire unit in already.
I still in vain try to reset etc but with no success

I'm using a 512 SD card, (I copied the original data from the 256 supplied & kept it) maybe a 256 card isn't big enough, for some reason. Just a thought.
I reassigned all the gatos's & all seemed well last night.
