New 510

Have just bought a new TomTom 510.

I'm familiar with the software from use on PDA's etc - but how the hell do I find the about screen on this unit so I can use the correct voices from the downloads?

Hi Hitone,

to the forum!

You can do the following on the PDA version, i.e. TomTom Navigator 5.xx and on all other current versions of TomTom:

Tap the "satellite strength" bars on the navigation screen you’re taken to the "Status Summary" screen, which will show the planned route if you currently have one set.

In the bottom right hand corner you will see the version number. Tap the version number and you will get the full details of you device including map version, software version and build number.

BIG Thank You for that, would never have found it.

Whatever happened to the old about icon in preferences, was so much easier.
