If it is any help, i recently bought a Garmin street pilot 2720 for a trip to france on my firestorm (after reading a lot of opinions on this site). Whilst i am no expert i can confirm that that the 2720 did 2500 miles and apart from two odd instructions it was absolutely excellent. I had a couple of tom tom products in the past and consider them and their back up to be a poor second. Hope this helps Greg :D

I know I am a month late replying to your original message, but ...

I got a Garmin Nuvi 310D this weekend and am very impressed.

Very sensitive receiver, massive amount of onboard storage, and it included a Trafficmaster receiver in the package that integrates with the Nuvi, and allows real-time rerouting around accidents/roadworks/etc. (with a lifetime subscription)

And it fits in my pocket Smile

best regards
Dave
