MIO 268+ POI warner voice alerts from SD card Problems.

I have been using POI Warner for about the last 7 months and it has been fine. My Mio locked up and I had to do a hard reset to get it working.
This meant I had to reload POI warner. If I now try to select a warning voice wav from the SD card in acoustic alerts, they will not play.
If you select one of the wavs in the windows folder it plays ok.
The wav files on the SD card play OK on a PC if you put the SD card in a card reader.
I have done the following.
I have reloaded the Mio Map software onto the MIO 268+,
reloaded the POI software.
I have reformated the SD card, reloaded the maps and wav files.
Deleted and reinstalled the POI software around 4 times.
I can load and play MP3 files no problem.
But no matter what I do,
It will still not play the wav files on the SD card when I select them in acoustic alerts.
I’m baffled.
