How good are they?

Obviously less wires across the dashboard is good. But do they stand up to the challenge - dim and dark winters, evening trips out etc.

Anyone have any experiences of using one? which one?

I guess that it depends on where you’re located and where you wish to use a solar GPS receiver. Please update your profile so we know which country you’re based in. Thumbs Up

As far as normal BT GPS Receivers, well they work very well and do help get rid of some wire. I Use a couple of GlobalSat BT-338 units and they are very good. They have excellent battery life.
