Last I heard was August. Surely they'll have later maps than the Q4 2005 maps originally stated? That's a full 8 months so they are almost a year old before release! |

Got an e-mail back from Navigon saying that MN6 will be out towards end of Sep start of Oct. This time I believe it as it has already been released with a PNA System (can't remember which one). The maps will be between Q4 2005 and Q1 2006 (whatever the hec that is supposed to mean).
I have to say, I would be very disappointed if they weren't AT LEAST Q1 2006. Any earlier maps would be 9 months plus out of date! It would seem ridiculous for Navigon to do this. |

It's the Fujitsu LOOX N100. Nice device. But it's got a feeble processor and a tiny screen.
After the disappointment of Tomtom 6, the fact Navigon and the peeps behind I-Go are dragging their collective heels is most annoying. They both show such promise. |

Indeed, I here that TomTom 6 is pretty much the same as V5. Also, there doesn't appear to be any map updates, which is particulary disappointing for us here in Ireland because the coverage is incredibly poor. The Teleatlas maps are not even competing with Navteq as far as Ireland map coverage goes. |

I heard the coverage in Ireland was poor - I feel for ya.
I'm shocked about the lack of map updates actually. I didn't realise they were gonna be using such 'old' maps.
Still. Really want to see this software in action. Is there an actual release date anywhere? |

Not sure of an exact date. Only what Navigon have told me via e-mail (end of September). It must be iminent now that it has actually been released on the Fujitsu Siemens Loox N100. |

There is a special offer on software on Saturday. Probably to get rid of MN|5!
However all this week there have been/are special offers on PNA/today PDA/there was a deal on a Loox 5xx - none of which have appeared on the UK website but they have been on the German site - a different one each day. Saturday will be interesting -will it be MN|6?!!! |

Interesting news, that. They would 'clear the decks' as it were of old stock before releasing the new one. So, fingers crossed!
Have any sites actually reviewed/previewed MN6? All the reviews I've seen have ben for the Loox N100, and they don't really talk about the nav software much, more the form factor of the PNA - the part I'm NOT interested in. Hehe.
Imagine MN6 running on an Ipaq 4700. Big 4 inch screen. I'll bet it looks fantastic. |

As I suspected:
Tomorrow, thats 00:00AM Saturday, you have the opportunity the MobileNavigator|5 software for PDA, inclusive map material of completely Europe and CarKit to order with the new Bluetooth government inspection department receiver NAVIGON BiCeiver. This package was tied exclusively for the Special Week and can be acquired only tomorrow for bang-hard calculated 149.00 EUR. Under the following left you find further information to this product: http://www.navigon.com/site/newsletter/742
They had the loox N100 at 279.00 EUR at midnight and sold out soon afterwards!
Hopefully they will get around to telling us what o/s MN|6 will run on soon. |
