VERY VERY SILLY ? re nuvi 350

I'm sure I posted this once , but here goes again.

took nuvi 350 from box and put it straightin the car as I had used ane loaned to me.
Box has been rattling around in the boots locker for some time now and I only looked at it yesterday.
It says on the box that " voice announces streets by name". It has never done that nor did the previous one I used.
I've read the instuction book, and just don't know where I'm going wrong!
So please enlighten me.
I guess I will look a complete pr@t again, but why alter a life time of achievement on that score :D Embarassed

Can't say I was bothered as it works very well telling me to turn left and right etc -
But this discovery has me concerned that I'm missing out on another life enhancing feature. HELP Rolling Eyes

In Settings / Language - what voice have you got in use?

If the voice has a name at the end, eg British English - Emily, then it should say road names - if it hasn't, eg British English, then it won't.

I see it now. I was set to "British English" as it has the lovely Nadine's voice.
British English Emily has TTS behind it . Text To Speach _ I assume dear Watson.
I'll write a hundred lines and put my dunces hat back on and partake in no compettitive sport as losing may be bad for personal development. Crying or Very sad
