|
|
Hi all,
Does anyone know if the text to speech on the nuvi can cope with welsh names, I was thinking of upgrading sometime to the 360 then thought as I live in a very welsh area with 99% of streets etc with welsh names whether the nuvi could pronounce them. Wouldnt like to invest in one and find out after that it couldnt.
Thanks....Dil _________________ ***************************************

Interesting question! My guess is that it would be at least as good at pronouncing the names as the average English person. _________________ Gone fishing! |

Mind you, it is sold as "English Text To Speech", so I wouldn't be too hard on it. ;) Not all the roads have Welsh names so it's still probably better than not having TTS at all isn't it?
Try some of the Welsh names here to see what they sound like
