Just joined and wanted to add that I have successfully mounted and used a Garmin Quest2 on my 1998 Triumph Thunderbird. Successfully navigated up the coast from San Diego to San Francisco, and even can verify that the emergency return home function works (beehived it back on the unscenic 101 in one whole day).

Wish I could squash the Mapquest PC software and use DeLorme's Street Atlas instead.

Have not figured out a (cheap) way to power the Quest2. The battery life is adequate, assuming you remember to charge it each night of your trip.

Good riding and yay for summer,

Stephanie

Welcome to the forums.
To power your device get the bike fitted with a car type ciggy socket, wire it from a fused line off the battery, then simply use the supplied car power addaptor then while in use it will charge off the bike (assuming the bike is running at 12V that is), the same might just work if the bike is 6V in the same way via the car charger addaptor.
Never be tempted to cut the plug off the supplied car charger lead, as this contains vital electronics to regulate the voltage to the correct level required by the device - Mike
