nuvi 310 maps

hi,i'm new to all this ,somehow ive managed to wipe the map of my nuvi 310.i got in touch with garmin they said to re-install from supplied dvd,i did this but there dosn't appear to be the same detail as there was can anyone help.cheers

I did the same thing on my C510D - the gmapprom.img was 170Mb and the one from the DVD is only that created the gmapsupp.img is only 125Mb. I'm also curious to know what data is missing...
