I think they are being quite literal :-

It should be possible presuming that there is a bluetooth system on the PC.

Firstly have you added the GPS unit within the Bluetooth application on the PC?
Double click the Bluetooth icon in the task bar, if the GPS isn't listed click the Add button, and follow the wizzard to connect up to your GPS unit.

If the above is working fire up Auto Route and go to Tools/ GPS/ Cofigure GPS Reciever, select scan and the software should find the GPS data, to display present position on the map make sure you go to the Tools/ GPS Task Pane, within this selct the "Track Position" check box to display the icon, the other check boxes are up to you - Mike

This may be obvious but you could have overlooked it.

When running from the PC (this will vary) you usually have to connect the PC to the TomTom device as a serial connection on a COM port from the bluetooth software/manager before starting the application. Unlike the PDA, connecting the application to the COM port on the PC does not automatically establish the bluetooth connection to the device.

You allocate the same COM port in Autoroute - Tools - GPS - Configure Receiver. Once you are sure that the PC Bluetooth has an established connection, on my older TT Bluetooth devices this is a steady blue light, you go through the menu in Autoroute, Tools-GPS-Start GPS tracking.

Hiya,

I can pair BlueSoleil and connect with the TomTom GPS using 0000 as the key but I cannot seem to allocate a serial port, says it has run out?????

I'm sure if I can allocate a serial port correctly the bluelight will steady and I am away, any ideas on how to as I am really confused.
Ta!

What are you trying to achieve by connecting the TT One to a laptop using Bluetooth? - the previous poster was trying to connect a Bluetooth GPS unit to a laptop which is a completely different situation - Mike
