|
|
Hi there,
I currently have viamichelin navigation cd that comes with Spain and Portugal installed.
I have purchased another cd pack that has UK and Ireland.
My question is, how do I add UK and Ireland, when I insert the CD, it wants to unistall Spain and Portugal and replace it with UK and Ireland.
I require both?
Hope someone can help,
Mike |

Firstly, I don't know anything with regards to "viamichelin"
But it sounds like the memory card (if you have one) is not big enough to hold all of the maps at the same time, therefor wants to remove some existing data to make room for the new map!
If this is the case you just need to buy a bigger card.
Backup your existing card first, then re-install the backup onto the bigger card, followed by copying the new maps also onto the bigger card. _________________ (If it ain't broke, I can soon fix it) |

ViaMichelin doesn’t sell stand-alone maps. When you buy one of their packs it’s both software and maps.
My guess (and it is only a guess) is that the installation procedure is detecting that ViaMichelin already exists on your system and is assuming therefore that it’s installing a new version. This will involve replacing all existing installed files with the new ones.
Another possibility concerns the compatibility of the map files. For example, if your new pack is version 4, but your existing installation is a previous version, then there will be a compatibility problem. If the installation procedure is finding “old” maps, it may want to remove them for this reason.
Is the installation specifically naming the old maps and asking to remove them, or is it simply giving you a more general message such as “not enough space available” ? |

Hi everyone, Is it possible to export the UK and Irish maps onto your SD card using Mapstore, then install the Spain and Portugal softwear. _________________ Audi A3 Sline sat nav |
