Apologies if this has already been asked but a search came up with about 7000 answers.................
With a Quest 1, is there any real advantage upgrading from City Select 7 to City Navagator 8. I'll be travelling to Greece and back through Bulgaria, Romania and Hungary
Thanks _________________ Garmin Quest|Ram Mount|Yamaha TDM900

As the coverage of the eastern areas that you are planning use only seems to cover major roads I can see no advantage in upgrading especially as the maptiles in the areas that are fully covered are so large in cn v8 you may not get all your chosen route in to the Quests memory.

If you go to http://www.garmin.com/cartography/ and enter CNv8 Europe in the drop down box you can see what is on offer for any particular area. There seems to be an area of "detailed" mapping running from Patras to the east of Athens
What with the cost and the larger map tiles I suspect it is probably not worth the upgrade |

You might find that MetroGuide v8 will give you increased mapping at a much lower cost! |

Thanks very much for all your replies folks.........CNv8 and CSv7 are very similar in coverage in Greece Kritou - thanks for that, Ithink I'll stick with CS for the moment, Garmin sent me a CNv8 disc but there's probably no point in paying for the upgrade - I already got a freebie from CSv6 _________________ Garmin Quest|Ram Mount|Yamaha TDM900
