Cable question for gpslim236...miniUSB(serial) to PS2?

I have a Y-cable that includes charger, PDA connector, and PS2 input for serial connection. I used this for another GPS since sold.

Now, is it possible to use the 230-C cable for this setup? I just need the mini-USB to PS2 rather than the whole Y-cable business.

I think this has been asked before and the answer was no because the voltage or something is all wrong. Do a search on O2 mini S.
