can anyone help
I have a Medion MDPPC150 which was working splendidly until I tried to attach it to my mobike via a cig lighter connection The polarity on the cig lighter was wrong and when I connected with the car cig lighter lead to the pda it just went blank, not able to get any picture etc. or start up. Question, is the whole thing knackered or is there a fuse inside which is likely to have blown? When I bought the PDA there was a fuse in the box which I presume is for the PDA and not the in car battery charger lead. Can anybody help please.
Thanks
Terry

The damage has probably already been done to the device, but if you are lucky the fuse might have protected the device (I doubt it though) the fuse is normally located in the head of the cigy socket plug, the round end that you insert to the socket has a removable end - try unscrewing the end with the pip centre contact, once this is released the fuse often pops out - Welcome to the forums by the way - Mike

Yes you've almost certainly zapped one or more ICs.

The moral of the story - always check the output of any non-standard power supply *before* connecting it to the device!
