i3 not finding POI's on memory card

My i3 will not recognize any POI's that i put onto a memory card. When I tried to use the POI loader I was told there was not enough room, so I loaded them all with a card reader. But it doesn't find them when i insert the memory card. Has anyone go any suggestions?

I'm sure i saw a discussion about this the other day, but I can't find it, so sorry if it's a repeat question.
