Going to France

Sorry to be a nuisance, I've had a quick search for similar topics but haven't found anything that specifically answers my question.

We're off tomorrow morning to Bressuire NW France (from the UK) and I'm just wondering how useful my Streetpilot will be? It's found the town on a trial run and calculated a route but the map doesn't show the smaller roads, as I expected.

Will the voice directions still be detailed enough to get me there or will it just go silent reflecting the lack of map detail? I would have thought that if it can calculate a route it should be able to tell me how to get there even though the map will say I'm in the middle of nowhere.

Would be grateful for if someone could tell me what to expect, we're taking maps too just in case.

the i3 will use the base maps using the main roads . Your UK map does include detailed maps of some on Northern France but this is limited and once you are on to the base maps it will direct you but instead of telling you to turn left or right, you will be only told to turn North,South,East or west .

Are you going to France with just a BaseMap?
The resultant route will be pretty basic, as I expect to see my entry and exit on each roundabout marked!
