TomTom +CR-100 Prob

Having bought the Holux CR-100 my TOM TOM navigator3 on XDAIIi keeps freezing up. I have set the GPS to Holux GM-200 as the and Serial Cable on COM1.
Was thinking about upgrading Tom Tom to 5 but been advised to wait for the next version to be released.

Ext ROM version: 1.11.171 WWE

The choices of holux on the GPS set up are : GM-200, GM-210 or GM-270 CF
