My GPS hardware is a Mio168.

My work vehicle changes daily, although recently I have often been in the same 2 trucks. a P reg Iveco 7.5t and a V reg Iveco 4x4 Flatbed 4 tonner.

The vehicles can't be locked so I need a lightweight installation that I can pack into my backpack and effectively hide away.

The main problem I have is with the suction holders not managing to stay attached to the windscreen, the power socket not having any power and even being able to hear the instructions!

Result? I've gone back to maps for the large part. Although saying that I'm just installing the software again onto the PDA to get it up to date and working ;) Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

One day it'll be worth... Until then? Oh, I'll survive ;)

hi trucker, all you can do at the moment is use advance warning, i set mine at 2000 yds for bridges and 400 yds for speed cams. while i was at the expo in edinburgh i was talking to tom tom about low bridges and being able to avoid them when i plan a route and they said it was a good idea as a lot of truckers are now using tom tom, so they are going to lok into it. as far as photo of tom toms in use i DO NOT place my 910 on the windscreen, as i make truck tables in wood i have mine on my table, so when i am unloading i place my hat over it to hide it from theives. no wires or tom tom showing. i will have photo in next few days Laughing
