Hi Guys.
You're right about the home dock. I'm sure it relies on the weight of the unit to make the connections, (it is a big old lump @ 340 grams probably one of the heaviest).
After all, it's not bouncing around in the home dock like it does in a car.
I seem to have settled on 'rolling' it upwards to remove it from the home dock, if that makes any sense.
Works for me.

Is this what everyone else finds? |
Yes. In fact I was just about to ask the very same question that you asked. |
Yep - in fact I thought it was the on-off button, having misread the 'Installation Poster'. It didn't seem to have any effect in taking it off the home dock. _________________ Doug Weller

The dock is pretty awful and requires some "knack" 2 clicks on the screen and always make sure the green light is on....apparently they are redesigning the whole lot for october? |

The whole lot? Does that mean the unit also, so we have no hope of a better mount? _________________ Doug Weller

The TomTom clicks into place on the Home mount in exactly the same way as on the windscreen mount but, yes, it can be lifted off without pressing the release button. _________________ Paul
