i just bought the garmin c320 last week, it has v7 maps and after talking to garmin i am entitled to v8 updates for free, my question is that i need to go to europe next week, if i unlock the v7 maps to put on another map, do i loose out on unlocking the new v8 maps for free? |

Probably the best thing to do would be to check with Garmin, that way you will be sure. |

Aren't the maps already unlocked for Europe ?? try installing a map segment to your gps and see if it will let you. a word of warning, if you need to use the second unlock code to another gps which you are entitled to do make sure you unlock the second unit before upgrading to v8 or you will be forced into being locked to v8 which has very large map segments .

thanks for the help, just tried it and the maps dont require an unlockcode, so i have installed the maps i needed |
