Garmin have been in touch - apparently there has been a query backlog but someone is on the case now so hope for more info soon. |

I've had a response from Garmin who suggested trying the reset again. Having tried it the unit still freezes - both on my bike & in the car. Waiting a further update on what to try next. Interestingly the reset only clears routes and puts settings to default but leaves custom poi's & welcome screen untouched. It doesn't take the unit all the way back to factory settings so maybe if the fault is in the poi area then it will carry on causing a problem.
PS have upgraded to v 2.70 & downloaded new poi data base but problem remains. Anyone got an idea for a fix? |

And, going to Assen for any motor even on the TT citcuit... no need for a speedcam database, since the police will 110% for sure have radartraps on all access roads tens of kilometers around Assen. Speeding will be quite expensive those days...
But, if you still want one: www.flitspaal.nl has a free one (just need to register). |
I can recreate this every time i use my quest is this usuall ???
Also today it is raining and i had little or no satalite reception for at least half the journey.

With any luck my problems are over. The guys at Garmin have replaced the unit and hopefully the new one won't have the same problem. I have transferred my data but not yet tested the new kit to any extent. Overall, even though it has taken a while to resolve I do think that Garmin customer service is pretty good and the people there are very helpful. For sure when I upgrade they would still be my supplier of choice. |
