Hi
Very impressed with the i3 particularly the speed camera locations.
However the unit itself has developed a very annoying rattle/ buzzing noise, particularly when the road is uneven. I took it back to the shop, but they convinced me that it was the freewheel moving and this was normal for the unit.
Is this normal ? anyone else had this problem or know of a way to fix it ? obviously if you hold the freewheel it seems to stop, but you can't do this all the time when driving !

Well mine doesn't rattle! Be a bit tougher with the shop you got it from (assuming it was purchased recently) and insist on an exchange. Get them to try to prove their point by demonstrating it on other in i3's in stock. |

Smells like BS to me - I've had four different units (long story), none of them rattled... |

Yes its that annoying buzzing noise which is 'doing my head in'. Wedging a piece of paper in the roller wheel stops it, but that means you cant use the wheel
Took it back to the shop, and of course the demo one in the shop also does the same (well at least it rattles when shaken which i assume is the same thing)
It seems about a 50:50 split on rattlers vs non, so i may have another go at returning it to a different branch |

You're being too reasonable, if any at all don't rattle then any that do are inferior. Demand a replacement from where you got it in the first place, warning them that unless they do you will take the matter up with their local authority Trading Standards Dept.
Don't be so nice, it's a tough old world out there. |
