Interesting recent reply from TomTom to a customer.

Indeed there has been lots of discussion around the A201. TomTom have always said the A201 was explicitly NOT supported for this very reason. Hopefully Mitac will get a firmware update sorted to correct this.

Interestingly back in the early days one of HP's Journada PDA's suffered this exact same problem with it's device ID changing randomly. Plays havoc with copy protection that locks software to the ID!
