Does anyone know of of a way of getting and changing the default navigation voices on the Navman 510?

Hi Jonnno.

I run a 520 and I was hoping for the same thing once, cos I was hacked off about the lisping voices, so I got on to Navman.
Their response, and I quote:-
"These are currently the only voice files available for the Navman at the moment". Crying or Very sad
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
I don't know of any third party voices that will do it, maybe some other members can help.

Hi Guys.

Maybe this is now in the wrong forum. Not too sure. Confused
I'm afraid I gave up with the Navman because of it's severe limitations.
Only having 2 English voices, one of which is unusable, and only 16 active custom POI's, although the handbook says you can have 25. Crying or Very sad. Active POI's being the most important to me.
Oh, and dire technical support.
I'm now running Tom Tom software on mine and, after add ons, have 41 (clear) celebrity voices, 39 active custom POI's (all working), and 16 colour schemes. :D
If I'd known all this beforehand I'm afraid I'd have bought a Tom Tom.
The maps don't look so good, but at least it doesn't finish the journey some 60 metres before I do!

CeeJay, what baud rate did you choose on your hybrid? ive now installed tom tom software V5.10 on my 520 and its running really bad, the map doesnt update quick enough (as though its not receiving gps quick enough).

Any chance of sending me the voices you got ?

Please don't ask for copies of copywrite data such as voices - if you want them you can purchase them from www.tomtom.com

As for the slow update rate how many POI's have you got displayed as this can seriously affect the screen update rate, disable the POI's and use the warn when near POI instead - Mike

Sorry didnt realise the voices would be copyrighted, ive checked tom tom's site before and cant find any voices. Do you have a direct link to the correct page.

Ive found in the Q&A that they do have them but dunno where.
