Hi all! 8)

Ive just brought a TTG 300 from a friend. The guy I brought it off has owned it for a while and only used it a couple of times. I was wondering what the latest software version is?

The unit has version 5.100 installed. If an update is required, I assume you have to pay? Also, How is it done cos I cant find anything on the tomtom website.

to fully answer your question, there is no charge for the OS update (different matter entirely for the maps). But you need to make sure you have the code from your mate, there should be a credit card sized plastic card with a code on it. Just in case you are asked to put this in to validate its a kosher copy of the maps. Probably it wont be needed but better safe than sorry.
