Hi All

I'm currently running TT5.1 on my QTEK 9090 with a Rikaline BT. I find the system highly performant although prone to problems on the bluetooth side.

Now, I'm selling my PDA and will probably take a dedicated GPS instead - living in central Europe I regularly drive in many countries and the TT700 is the logical choice.

My questions:

Will I find my TT700 as performant as my PDA, is it likely to be better or worse.

Now that TT One has the SSIII chipset, surely it's a matter of time until the 700 is upgraded, better to wait until then I think? Any news on this?

Are there any other makes that offer whole Europe door to door that I should consider?

Cheers
Dave

The 700 has a 400 MHz processor, so performance is on par with the PPC

I doubt there will ever be a SiRF III upgrade for the GO series. The new chipset will only be available in future devices.

Well I guess it doesn't have to be a TT GO as such but I can't see how they can have their base product having the better chipset than the flagship device for much longer.

I think the Go will always be faster - I have an Ipaq 4700 which has a fairly fast processer but a Tom Tom Go500 calculates routes a bit faster.

Nothing to worry me and I put it down to the Go being 'designed' for calculating routes where as a PPC just happens to be able to do it but with more calculation involved.... any other sugestions welcome...
