GlobalSat BT338 vs HOLUX GR-230?

i want to ask you guys,what do you think of these two models.I want to get a bluetooth gps recieve fopr my mobile phone (p910i-uiq) and i'm considering one of these two,just don't know which one.

I don't know anything about gps so so far only thing clear to me,isthat both use a sirf 3 chip and the globalsat has very good battery time.Other than that i can't make any comparison and that's where i need your expertise.

You need to re-check your information the BT338 does contain the SiRF-III chipset, but the GR-230 is SiRF-II - the Holux GPSlim-236 is the device you should be comparing as that contains the correct chip set - I can confirm that this Holux product is a great device.

I checked some of the reviews,but some seem to be outdated.For example the review for emtac.gets a 100 rating but it seems to be posted in 2002!

I've been advised to get one of the following:

Holux,globalsat,emtac,fortuna slim.

A)Which one do you believe i should choose?
B)Other than battery life,what other factor should i consider before i buy?
C)In the globalsat review,as a con it mentions no SBAS support?What exactly is SBAS and WAAS?

SBAS stands for Satellite Based Augmentation System, in short it will improve the accuracy of your position if and when available in your current location http://gpsinformation.net/exe/waas.html this covers some of your other questions, I would stick with the SiRF-III chipset equipped devices as they perform so much better, the GR-230 device you mentioned earlier is the same as my Altina GPS unit, its good but no comparison to the Holux 236 - Mike

Between the globalsat nad Holux which one would you recommend?
