I'm considering buying a Tomtom One, but have one question before I part with the dosh..
If I turn off the voice directions, would I sill get a audio alert for speed cameras (obvioulsy having a POI set installed) ?? |

 to the forum! 
If you want to turn off audio instructions but keep camera alerts, then you need the silent voice, which you can download from Ray’s http://www.tomtomsatnav.info website, here.

| Works great except with the Perm Docking Kit, the silent voice prompts are almost as long as the normal and still mute the car radio! |

I don't think you will have to worry about the Docking Kit, The ONE doesn't need one!
