SIRF III CF GPS units - opinions sought

Just a small word of caution. The 305 units don't work with WM5 PDA's Haicom state (at least for the 305III) that they won't work as the drivers are NOT WM5 compatible. I have a 305III and Dell Axim x51V. I can get OziexplorerCE to work with the 305 but not TT5 or Pocket Anquet.

Have you considered a SiRF III BT device? - the TomTom GPSII is very good. I have 'replaced' my 305 with one of these. One bonus is that you do get a bit of extra battery life out of the PDA - BT seems to take less current draw.

See if you can try one out (305 that is) just to check it works with your PDA.
