KANE SAT NAV on XDA 2s Connection Problem!!

Hi Everyone, Please Help!!!!!!
I just bought a Kane Car Pilot Navigation Kit - With GPS Reciever but when i tried to install, it wouldnt connect to my "XDA 2s" so i found out that i needed Active Sync 3.5 or 3.6 which i installed and it connects but now it says XDA is not compatible with Kane navigation software...
I know Kane Gear website is down as vendors in liguidation so does anyone know anything about this problem please?? I would be very grateful if anyone can help me with a solution to fix my xda problem please!!!!

I am not aware of the kit you are using with the exeption of the XDAIIs, If the GPS unit is wired then have you de-selected the check box for "Recieve all beams" within settings/ connections tab IrDA - this settings will affect communication via Com1 if still checked, if its not a wired device (GPS) then please disregard this - Mike
