Hi Simon1
I have a 510 running 2005.
The Bootloader version is 3.00.0008
The SmartST version on icn states v3.50.0008, (black screen on reset start up)
but the PC states v3.50.0088 on icn, along with the bootloader info.
Regards

Hi
Forgot to mention that I tried to reload SP1 from Navman, (to see if I had done things right) I get a dialog box appear stating that SP1 is already installed.
Regards

Thanks to everyone for your help. It looks like I may have the SP installed after all according to what you have, DRP. There may be a slight difference between the 510 and 520 which would explain the different figures on satnavman's.
One difference I've noticed on the maps is that the parks around Richmond, Surrey for example seem to be a brighter green than before. Weird.
Also, can I safely delete the US voices using explore on Activesync?

Hi Simon1 and DRP:
Just as another thought and to put another spanner in the works, I have just tried to install the SP1 update again on my ICN520, with the SP1 file I originally downloaded from Navman. It stated that the software was already insatalled and that I was already upgraded to V3.05.001.
I cancelled then without making any more changes.....
So I guess if you try to re-install you will find out if you have the upgrade or not.
My own personal opinion is that if you have the choice of both UK and US voices as I have now, then you have SP1 installed.
I am now slightly confused! Doesn't take much. Everyone seems to have different version numbers, evne after updating to SP1! What's going on?
I have (as far as I am aware) updated with SP1, on running SmartST 2005, and looking under, Help-about, I get the following;
SmartST desktop v 3.5.0.6
Desktop Lang v 3.5.0.9
Registration v 3.5.0.1
Reg.Dll v 3.5.0.1
Reg Lang v 3.5.0.9
POI Compiler v 3.05.0000
POI Editor v 1.0.0
Basemap v 3.5.0.2
iPAQDEVICE v 3.02.0002.0
DEVICELINK.Dll v 3.02.0003.0
MAPCHECK. Dll v 2.0.0.0
SmartST v 3.80.1033
Bootloader v 03.00.0012
That's how it's listed, most of it means little to me, can anyone decipher it and tell me if they think I have successfully downloaded the latest update.
By the way, the 520 did reset to the American voice etc after rebooting.
Thanks in advance,

judging by satnavman's figures for his 520, you should be right. I think the 510 and 520 end up with different version numbers, probably because of slight differences in the way they run.
If anyone can confirm this though it would be great. I would give Navman a call but I honestly can't see their Indian Call Centre coming up with anything but the most basic, scripted answers (prove me wrong tho if you can!)

You are wrong. I've been to their 'Call Centre', which is about two miles from my house, many times. _________________ Tim

Well, my faith in Navman is a little stronger for hearing that. The last couple of times I have had to call them, I got the feeling that they were not in this country due to the fact that the line was always very hissy and that everyone I spoke with had an Indian/Pakistan accent and this, therefore made it extremely difficult to discuss technical issues with them.
My apologies if they are in fact in the UK. Now if we could get someone on the line who can answer questions without recommending that you do a reset, then we'll be a little closer to good customer relations.
Oh yes - and I still haven't received a reply to my letter to NZ Hd Office complaining about the roundabout issue in a different thread. I guess poor customer support starts at the top.
