'm trying to get my socket bluetooth gps to work with teletype mapping software v092003. I've been able to use the gps with other software so i know it's working. I even asked teletype if my gps unit and my casio e-200 would work and they said it would. It can't find the gps and i even tried the other option of selecting com port and baud rate. Nothing works. Does anyone have any suggestions.
Thanks,
Pat |

Pat
I am testing teletype with Emtac BT and Ipaq2210, it works fine.
My setting is com8 at 2400bps, then 'open port'. _________________ PeterB, Kent, U.K. |

hi peter,
Quite a few forums have reports that Emtac BT GPS+h2210 combo has very frequent bluetooth connection drop-offs. Do you experience any such symptons? |

Talez, you do get frequent drop outs on the Emtac (and other BT GPS), if the processor is overworked as the first thing to drop when there's a performance hit is the Bluetooth Stack. |

oh that is bad. Some people get the drop-offs so frequent it became so annoying, he doesn't even use the Emtac GPS anymore. However, ppl has pinpoint down that this only happens with BT GPS+h22xx/h55xx combo. |

So it looks like the Teletype software should work with any BT reciever correct and not their propritary "Teletype" BT receiver. One last conformation needed before I buy a Fortuna clipon. |

Clip-on seems to be working fine. However, its only been 10 minutes. |
