As a London Taxi Driver of 30 years and having had TT from version 2 and now have version 5, I would just like to add my views.
I dont think that there is any need for a new version, I was quite happy with version 2. However, what is always needed is new maps!
Driving around London and using TT5 I can tell you that the maps themselves are woefully inadequate.
I'm not talking about things that have changed in the last 3 years but things that have been changed in the last 10 years, i.e. doing right or left turns where its not possible, going down one way streets the wrong way and also simple things like spelling errors in streets and perhaps even more importantly when TT puts a ' after the word and before the s so the name of the road becomes king's instead of kings that is not the only example there are others, but if you didnt know where kings road <chelsea> was and tried to find it and typed in kings road you wouldnt find the correct one!!

So to summarise, I do actually like TT5 and if you didnt know where you were going it would eventually get you there, but I think it would be better for the customers, if they forgot about the actual version and just upgraded the maps each year.

I have tried a few others but i prefer tomtom and would go with v6 if the maps are updated, but if so many of you are "not going to get the upgrade and would never buy a tt product again"

What do you use?
what gps software would you recommend?

I tried the igo and it looked very good but i hated the "in 800 yrds prepare to enter roundabout" then "in 400 yrd enter roundabout" then "in 100 yrds enter roundabout" you get my drift, god how annoying is that.
