TT500 Less than £330 Anywhere?

I have promised my dad a TT500 for his Birthday (now passed) but the shop where I was planning on getting it for 300 (£280 if I had been quicker) are out of stock. Anyone know where I can pick this up for less than the Amazon price of 330?

(I may just plump the extra 40 quid and get the 700 for £370 from said shop)

Forgive me for doubting a fellow SatNav retailer, but I would personally be VERY worried about systems being sold at these prices. Knowing the cost of Tomtoms through distribution, and the very tight margins available, they must either be selling them at a loss, or else have acquired them through "non-standard" routes...

If it seems too good to be true, it usually is...

£330 seems to be the going rate.

if you go to Comet though, you get a free extra car cradle which is worth about £30.

Saw that the other day and was thinking that might be an idea but couldn't find it again.

Tho have just found another ofering online £25 discount of 330 price but again, none in stock Sad

Cheers for that, looks like I have searched everywhere afterall.

Tempted by the 700 tho as can get that for £365 and I do love a bargain :P

Thinking about it my dad does go to Europe every so often (maybe once a year)

Think I will give it till early next week for the 500 to be back in stock adn if not plump for 700.

Dixons Tax Free just jumped their price by £85 now it is back in stock...robbing b****ds... funny thing is their normal Internet site is now cheaper, oh but out of stock... grrrr!!
