memory cards

hi there,
I have a 510 and i am interested in buying a bigger memory card so i can put more data onto the unit. but...The maps are loaded onto my standard card so how to i save these to the internal memory or transfer them to a bigger card? do i need a special type of memory card?

So long as it is a good quality card, should be OK. There seems to be very few folks reporting problems with larger cards.

I have tried putting the maps straight on to a new card using a card reader/writer and transferring them from the CD via SmartST Desktop. The only difference that I could observe was that the card reader did the job in a fraction of a second and the SmartST desktop took about an hour.
