Hi Hope someone can help.

I have a MioA201 (Windows mobile 5 )running TT Navigator 5.1 s/w.
Everything runs great and I`m real happy with the kit.

Any answers to any of the following questions would be much appreciated.

However when the unit came TTN5 was preinstalled and the only thing with TTN5 on it was the SD Card.

1) Is that right that all the files needed for TTN5 are on the SD card ?

2) Whats the best way to backup all the files in case SD card should get corrupted ?

3) Is it worth me upgrading to TTN5.21 is there a list of the differences?

4) Has anyone worked out the installation procedure yet for this combo as I said the TTN5 s/w was preinstalled due to some dificulty in the installation, procedure not sure what though.

Thanks for your help.

PS:- Congrats to GPSW on a great Website and great Forum, theres loads of great info here.

hello and welcome to the forum

i'm a sorta newbie myself but
i do have some answers Laughing Out Loud

1. YES tomtom files are mostly all stored on SD card.

2. just simply copy the entire contents of the card to a folder on your PC i also use 'sprite pocket backup plus' works kinda like WinXP system restore.

3. i've got TTN5 V5.21i upgraded from 5.1 (i think) i havent really noticed any difference Question

4. not sure about your setup as i bought all my equip seperately (gambled Laughing Out Loud) and aint got a mio.

5. whoops there was no number 5 ha ha

anyway
hope everything go's ok

regards
~Ash

Hey hey. :-)

As a caveeat: If you do backup the SD-card (and you should!), make sure that the option to see all hidden files and folders is active on your explorer browser/finder, or it won't copy everything. :-)
