i am currently using a QtekS110 with TT5 and a Globalsat BT338. these work fine but i have just bought a Globalsat sd-502 as the above set up does not last long. the pda runs out of juice after about 3-4hours of bluetooth use. also its a real pain that i need to have the unit out of flight mode to activate the bluetooth but i cannot switch the unit off with the bluetooth on! Rolling Eyes

anyway i am having problems with the SD-502 unit.i can not find a suitable com port. it is not being detected by the gpsinfo program or the system as storage card but the unit is getting a satellite fix according to its led status. i have been told that if i can change my tomtom drivers to v2.06 then this will allow me to activate additional com ports that will enable the SD-502 to communicate with the pda. i have downloaded the drivers but i dont know where to put them or where the existing drivers are. can anyone shed some light on this.

Cheers
Teb

v2.06 wont work with tt5 as its a tomtom v2 v3 driver try using winfast navigator or somthing simiar to find the com port and the use other wired nema receiver and set the same comport in tt5 but make sure you exit the other software before starting tt5

Alix thanks for the reply. sorry i am useless with these things. am i correct i n saying i should leave the gpsinfo program, the sd-502 drivers and the tt5 program/drivers as is and install winfast on the pda or do i need to modify anything else?

i have also tried selecting nmea 4800 wired gps through the tt software but this doesnt give me anymore choices on the com ports.
