Map Upgrade

Hi all, does anyone know when the map upgrade is due for the TOMTOM 700 which is on the hard drive and not on an sd card and if there is one will it be in cd form or a chargeable downlown from tomtom as there are new roads around me (by the RECOH ARENA in Coventry) including other roads which have been there now for more than 12 months which are not on my 700.Thanks in advance for any comments. I can't give a real answer to your question - just my understanding... Firstly, new maps will almost certainly be chargeable downloads. And even when new maps are available, at the moment there is no way to even know what changes have been made until you buy them! So you may pay to "update" and the roads in your area still not be there :x What else do you buy an update/upgrade to without knowing the new features? Nothing!

i find the whole thing confusing. i just (in november) purchased a tt700. it had on it maps v568. i rang tt on 12/13th december & several times that week. (they also seemed unaware on new maps). however after several conversations they decided that the downloads were NOT available due to the size of the file (??). so they aranged to collect my unit & return it to me with updated maps.
This arrived back about 4 or 5 days later with v606 maps. I was expecting to see v625 (or was it 635). (also they had changed my new unit for another one (though again looked new).

I have sent tt a question as to why they ddi not send me the later maps but i have as yet to get a reply on that one.
