Globalsat BT338 bluetooth GPS

I have previously had TOMTOM Nav 3 which has worked successfully with my IPAQ 2110 and Globalsat BT338 Bluetooth GPS receiver.
I have just upgraded to TOMTOM Nav 5. Seemingly the BT338 is 'incompatible' with Nav 5. I have been in touch with TOMTOM, tried configuring it as 'other bluetooth GPS' and 'NMEA wired' - with different Baud rates etc - all without success.

Can anybody confirm this either as a problem that is unable to be resolved - without either going back to TTN3 or buying another GPS receiver - or suugest a solution?

The receiver is compatible. All you need to do is swithc it from SiRF to NMEA protocol. You can do that wit the old TomTom GPS driver, or with APLSirf or other programs.

TTN5 no longer understands SiRF protocol.
