Recalculating route!

Having another problem with my Quest 2.

I have a route meticulously defined in Mapsource that I want the Quest 2 to track to on my motorcycle trip.

I have tried setting the route options so that the device does not recalculate at all and IT STILL insists on re-calculating! Argh! I've also tried setting the device to prompt me before re-calculating and it seems to help, but it STILL did re-calculate several times.

Why does it insist on re-calculating? I'm worried that the re-calculated route will be different from the route that I pre-programmed at home!

There is a recalculate bug in the Quest2, where the recalc prompt loops over and over again... does not happen always though.

I've seen that bug - I think the way I've seen it is that the turn screen will stay up for too long, and the Quest will seem to freeze without going back to navigate. During that time, if there's another turn, you may miss it. That will cause the Garmin to recalculate and choose a new route. Of course, you may still be driving and may miss the route it is now planning for you, and then the device will re-calculate again! Can go on and on like that...

The problem I'm also having is that I'll get re-calculations even though I've told the Quest not to re-calculate.
