Indeed, yours is the older sleeve and is definitely getting on in years. Even the "Mk. 2" slleve, which I have, is not exactly cutting edge. (There are those who will argue that it never was.) I can only suggest that you give it even longer to get sats, as the spinning disc means at least something is happening. It could, however, be time to invest in a new GPS. I take it your iPAQ doesn't have Bluetooth?
Oh, and the GPS receiver doesn't appear under 'Connections'. _________________ Tim |

thats correct it does not have bluetooth
& the gps reciever does not show under connections
and by the way i did not know if you recieved the message i am sorry i started another thread

Hi, Still forgot my kit but you have followed all the steps I would have given you except for 1.
My jacket doesn't have an external aerial socket either, so I think we're on the same kit. I have to set my baud rate at 9700 (or is it 9600?), anyway just move the bar along and the correct spped will pop up.
The first fix could take about 1/2 hour though! _________________ Regards

I have the newer sleeve - should every fix take over half an hour if you come out of tomtom and go back in?
