I decided to put the safety camera database back on Navigator 5430 and although I did work out how to set it all up about a year ago the first time I looked at it, this time I seem to be coming unstuck and there are so many posts around about the POI voice warnings that my head is spinning. ;)

Getting the POIs downloaded and installed is a piece of cake.

I've also managed to download/install the correct data.chk file for the spoken voice prompts so now all the bells/beeps/boings etc are voice files.

Now presumably I need to go into 'manage POI's' and enter a distance then select a sound for each of the 5 new pocketgps POI categories but with 15 sounds and only five categories I've managed to get myself confused.

What 'obvious' step am I missing out?

The sounds actually give a specific audio prompt that is tied to the camera type and speed limit for the camera, it sounds like you have loaded the single file version of cameras, in the download you may have noticed Speed Zoned for the GATSO, Mobile and SPECS cameras, this way you get better warning than just "Warning GATSO" for example. - On my set-up I have 25 different camera warnings each with its own bmp image - I hope this is of use - Mike
